faith as small as a mustard seed

Last night I was walking home from the mrt. I saw a man bending down to pick up a tissue paper on the pavement...he walked a few more steps and he picked up more rubbish. Out of curiosity, I followed him from a safe distance and he continued to bend down and pick up any rubbish that lies along his path. He is not some road sweeper...just someone who is socially conscious or obsessed about having a green environment. It does actually seem a bit ridiculous as there is so much rubbish around...he cant possibly finish picking them all.
Actually I learnt a lesson from him...it seem like such an impossible mission but I want to be like him touching lives as I go along the way. A little effort goes a long way...all it takes is faith as small as a mustard seed.

Tonite, I was chatting with my pupil online about the new teacher"my replacement". He was saying he hates her. When I asked why? He couldnt answer that question as a ten year old. I was evily thinking "haha I must have been irreplaceable in their hearts." But I ended off the conversation by telling him to be nice to her. It will take a while more for them to forget me.
But I have just received the highest compliment after three bitter years of detour. I have finally found my calling. Words alone cannot describe the inner peace in my heart and the sense of God's pleasure.

Jesus' little children club

children club is gonna be up and running this coming sat. so exciting. cant wait for it. but abit scared of the administration and kids... well at least admin is not so bad, it's a system which you will learn to master. on the other hand, kids have full of potential to surprise you. they give you ans which you nv tot of. ask you questions you nv heard of. yet you wonder why are you sitting there teaching them primary school work. they are born with the potential to excel in the areas they want but stumbled at answering questions in the assessment books. ironic aye. ahh... we, volunteers, mostly young adults, know the answer to the questions but have difficulty explaining simply to them. oh my... we are all complex beings in every life stages. we need God we gel the generations up. mayb after all, it aint so complicated.

juz let me share sth, before i close this entry. as most of you know that the opening of this club wasnt a big bang. we actually, postponed 2 times due to lack of applications. after the second postpone, i wasnt very sad nor happy about it. juz an nonchalant "ok lor". and i felt that this wasnt really a right attitude. so i asked myself, why do i wan to start this children club in the first place. and i found my ans in the bible, Luke18:15-18 (MSG). the passage is titled The Little Children and Jesus.

"People brought babies to Jesus, hoping he might touch them. When the disciples saw it, they shooed them off. Jesus called them back. "Let these children alone. Don't get between them and me. These children are the kingdom's pride and joy. Mark this: Unless you accept God's kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you'll never get in."

Jesus loves and treasures every children in this world. He wants to be with them. so let us as gd servants of Christ, keep the doors open for Jesus to play and mentor the kids. one day they will know who is Jesus, coz they see Him through us. and pray for that the day will come when they will hear Him calls their names.
